SCIENCE FICTION & FANTASY

My earliest airbrush paintings were mostly done for science fiction book covers. I saw the airbrush as a perfect tool for the sci-fi genre.  I also felt that the majority of the cover illustrations done for science fiction books looked old fashioned, then, and even today.  Having always loved reading the classical sci-fi books by authors like HG Wells, Jules Verne, Mary Shelley to the modern authors like Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Arthur C. Clarke and Stanislaw Lem, I strongly believed the artwork for science fiction covers should have also moved with the time.
