CORGI BOOKS - Transworld Publishers, UK

After leaving college I found two job openings, one in the BBC graphic department and the other as a junior book cover designer at an international publishing company.  I chose the publishing company as I felt it was a better prospect.  The publishing company was Transworld Publishers, UK.  I found out that I made the right decision as within eighteen months I was promoted to Art Director for their main imprint, Corgi Books which permitted me to make my first mark in the mass market publishing business.  After four years of doing some innovative changes at Corgi Books, including redesigning the imprint’s colophon, I went on to form and head my own design group.

Here are a few examples of the work I had done at Corgi Books as Designer and Art Director.  For more examples please click HERE.

SOLUTION, UK

Though I started my studio, SOLUTION, in 1970, I, along with my wife and partner in the business, formally opened our multi-disciplinary design studio in 1972, in Soho, London.  SOLUTION handled general graphic design, illustration, book packaging, advertising and corporate identity.  Our clients ranged from large corporations right down to individuals seeking our professional skills.  Here are a few examples of the work we did at SOLUTION
